Location:

The Regional Director is a work from home position, as are all positions at Acceleration Partners. This structure is central to our culture and our vision to change the work/life paradigm. The Regional Director for Asia should be based in or spend the majority of his/her time in Asia.

The Role:

Over the last five years, we have made it our goal to become the largest independent affiliate agency in the U.S. We achieved that goal in 2016, and are now looking to apply our expertise, infrastructure, and relationships in other regions where there is not a significant strategic agency presence. In 2017 we established Acceleration Partners presences in London to serve EMEA, Mexico to serve Latin America, and Singapore to serve pan-Asian interests. Our work in Singapore and surrounding markets leads us to believe that there is an attractive opportunity to develop a scale affiliate agency business in the region. To that end, we are seeking a Director who will lead our Asia strategy formation, drive our growth in Asia, and play a key role in shaping the further development of the Asian Performance Marketing industry.

At Acceleration Partners, we have three core values that we apply to everything we do: Own It, Embrace Relationships, and Excel & Improve. The ideal candidate will have a track record that aligns to all of these values. This person will have a history of owning it, taking high levels of responsibility at an affiliate agency, network, publisher, product marketing firm, or related entity. Relevant experience could include global account management, publisher development, digital marketing leadership, and affiliate program management. This person will have a broad network throughout the many Asian markets, with a history of embracing relationships across industries. And this person will have demonstrated the desire to Excel & Improve by constantly staying out in front of new ideas in the marketing space and acting as a subject matter expert at conferences and industry gatherings. Ability to work effectively linguistically and culturally across Asia is required.

The Regional Director for Asia will have a wide ranging role, taking ultimate responsibility for all sales, client delivery, hiring, localized marketing, and in-market finance. They will need to build a book of business, either through existing contacts or through other processes, ensure the work is delivered according to Acceleration Partners best practices and standards, and maintain oversight over the supporting in-market infrastructure. They will also be responsible for servicing the Asian portions of global work sold in the U.S or EMEA, and for ensuring that Acceleration Partners’ culture, which is critical to our success and a key differentiator of our business, keeps its integrity in Asia.

Your Top 5 Job Responsibilities:

  1. Effectively Manage the P&L for Asia
  2. Lead, Manage, and Hold Accountable Acceleration Partners Staff in Asia
  3. Sell Consulting and Program Management to Asian-headquartered Brands
  4. Develop and Deliver on the Brand Identity and Value Proposition of Acceleration Partners in Asia
  5. Partner with the Acceleration Partners Team on Multi-Region Clients

What Success Looks Like:
By Three Months: You have assumed accountability for the existing Acceleration Partners infrastructure in Singapore and expanded it as necessary to serve clients across Asia. You have developed a strategic plan that maps out 12-24 months of Acceleration Partners growth in Asia. You have closed at least two consulting and / or program management deals with local clients.

First Six Months: Acceleration Partners is breaking even on a run rate basis in Asia. You have a full staffing plan for the account team that is aligned with Acceleration Partners’ best practices. You have successfully taken on oversight of work in Asia for existing Acceleration Partners clients located elsewhere.

First Twelve Months: Acceleration Partners has booked $US 500,000 of revenue and has a positive contribution margin. You are successfully supporting a combination of Asia-only clients and the Asian portion of global accounts. You have cultivated a recognizable version of the parent company culture with an Asian twist.

Travel:
Travel will be a significant element of the role, with regular travel to numerous destinations in Asia as well as a minimum of 2-4 trips to the U.S. annually.

Acceleration Partners is committed to a diverse workforce and we are an equal opportunity employer. We evaluate applicants regardless of an individual’s age, race, color, gender, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status.

The Role:

Acceleration Partners has experienced impressive growth over the past three years, including expanding globally and surpassing 100 employees. Much of this strategic growth is credited to the high performance and output of our incredibly talented, experienced and cohesive marketing team.

While each member of this 7-person marketing team owns different operational outcomes (events, design, content, social media, SEO, demand generation, marketing automation and analytics), the team works collaboratively to execute a multi-faceted marketing strategy.

Through comprehensive integrated marketing campaigns, including webinars, events, an internally-produced podcast (Outperform), video marketing, SEO, SEM, Social Media, PR, written content (blogs, e-books, case studies, articles) and more, Acceleration Partners’ marketing team serves as the company’s primary driver of high-value leads and prominent thought leadership.

To continue the success that Acceleration Partners has achieved through our marketing efforts—both domestically and globally—we are looking for a true leader who:

  • Will be a smart, stable, confident and strategic conductor of this masterful marketing ensemble.
  • Is looking for new opportunities to challenge themselves, lead an established, high-performing team and go where there is no path and leave a trail; a trail that will likely lead to becoming a global CMO as AP continues its rapid growth trajectory.
  • Can successfully oversee and align Acceleration Partners’ domestic and global marketing efforts and the initiatives of our marketing team.
  • Can act as an external thought leader, which will likely involve speaking at marketing and industry events and conferences about Acceleration Partners’ approach (services and culture) and success/growth.
  • Is excited about working with a company that values greatness over being big; a company that prioritizes having a great culture and providing industry-leading services over growth for growth’s sake.

The Vice President of Marketing will report to the founder and CEO of Acceleration Partners, who sees the output and strategic direction of this high-performing team as a top priority and is directly involved in the initiatives and innovation of the department.

The Vice President of Marketing will also work very closely with the Vice President of Sales to drive prospects through the funnel and ultimately achieve revenue objectives and will also serve on Acceleration Partners’ Expanded Leadership Team (ELT).
