THE ROLE:

Acceleration Partners seeks an Associate Account Manager to freely manage large projects, as well as execute day-to-day operations of multiple affiliate programs by serving as key client facing liaison, under the guidance of their Associate Director. This person will be responsible for leading the client relationship as well as all client deliverables, account strategy and execution.

TOP 5 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. CLIENT SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION - Serve as a regular point of contact for clients’ strategic and account questions, lead weekly client calls, send account reporting and manage resulting follow-up questions and communications. Manage challenging client situations with guidance from Associate Director. Provide superior client service, develop and nurture excellent client relationships. Maintain very high client satisfaction and retention rates with a Net Promoter score of 8+.
  2. ACCOUNT STRATEGY – Oversee successful client programs by developing effective strategies and tactical plans for achieving client goals.  Proactively offering new and innovation ideas to the overall program strategy.
  3. STRATEGY EXECUTION – Execute effective affiliate recruitment, activation and optimization strategies that align with the goals of the client. Perform general account management and monitor for fraud and affiliate compliance.
  4. REPORTING AND ANALYSIS - Provide clients with regular reporting, analyze data to find opportunities and identify issues. Develop strategic program plans and present resulting data-driven insights and recommendations to clients.
  5. NEW OPPORTUNITIES - Acts on relevant publisher development opportunities presented by publisher development team to approve and activate new publisher opportunities in client programs. Able to think outside of the box to present new and interesting opportunities to clients.

 

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

BY 6 MONTHS… the Associate Account Manager is executing the day-to-day operations of multiple affiliate programs with guidance from their Associate Director.  Associate Account Manager has formed strong relationships with key client contacts and is the main point of contact for clients’ account questions.  Challenging client situations are being managed with guidance from the Associate Director.  Client data is regularly being analyzed and used strategically in optimization, activation and recruitment campaigns.   Client accounts are being handled effectively and strategically, without dropping any balls, and clients are aware of and pleased with this outcome. Clients are being serviced profitably with target bill rates being met, and client Net Promoter Scores are 8+.

BY 1 YEAR… the Associate Account Manager is taking accountability for the performance and success of their clients. Account efficiency has been maximized, and excellent strategic plans and communication is in place on all accounts, and recognized as a key to client success. Clients are being serviced profitably, all deliverables are A caliber, and Net Promoter Scores remain consistent at 8+.  Associate Account Manager is ready to take on Account Manager level responsibilities.

Acceleration Partners seeks an experienced Affiliate Publisher Development Manager. The Publisher Development Manager is responsible for supporting and growing AP managed clients by developing and maintaining relationships with key publishers in order to drive sales.  Additionally, we will look to the Publisher Development Manager to ensure that AP is a thought leader around and capitalizing on major trends with affiliate publisher and partner types. The position will report to a member of the company’s Extended Leadership Team and offers salary and benefits that are competitive with growth-stage businesses.

 

  1. Publisher Outreach & Recruitment: Ensure that AP is at the forefront of publisher development via smart, strategic publisher identification and recruitment. Research high revenue potential publishers, new and existing, perform outreach and find new opportunities based on the needs of our clients. Identify and work new publisher type opportunities (i.e. YouTube influencers, other large partners who wouldn’t traditionally be considered affiliates.) Minimum qualifications & skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and negotiation skills

The Sales Director will be looked upon to deliver revenue as senior individual contributor, working directly with the GM and Founder to manage the sales process, sell consultatively to qualified prospects, cross-sell the current client base, and pursue select outbound targets. Acceleration Partners generates the majority of its leads via best-in-class demand generation marketing and client referrals, so while there will be some hunting of top “whales,” a large number of opportunities will be inbound. Additionally, the Sales Directors’ expertise will be relied upon to help develop the go-forward sales strategy and revenue plan. Over time, this role could evolve into a higher level executive job, responsible for building a team and transitioning to company leadership.

What Success Looks Like:

By Three Months: You are 100% up to speed on Acceleration Partners business, value proposition, and target market, which means you are able to make qualification decisions and take sales calls. You are fully competent in our Salesforce instance, and have provided your input on any changes you would like to the core sales process. You have fully developed and documented a plan to achieve your 2017 revenue goals.

First Twelve Months: You have delivered $1.5 million in booked revenue to Acceleration Partners from new clients and the upselling / cross-selling of existing clients during the first year. The churn rate of new clients is below 20%. You are a subject matter expert able to lead pitches to enterprise prospects.

Compensation

Compensation will include an attractive base salary commensurate with experience as well as a performance plan tied to booked revenue. On-target earnings are expected to be at least 50%-100% of base compensation.

Initially, the Vice President of Sales will be looked upon to deliver revenue as an individual contributor, taking over responsibility from the GM and Founder for managing the sales process and inbound leads and closing large clients in process as well as selected outbound targets. Longer-term, the core function of the position is to build out a team—making outstanding decisions on the right sales people to hire, and creating and maintaining the systems and infrastructure necessary to make them successful on a replicable and repeatable basis. This goal may mean hiring sales people, or it may mean leveraging internal SMEs, or a combination thereof—we are looking to the Vice President of Sales to drive these decisions strategically. Any initial personnel planning around sales administration or use of internal SMEs as sales engineers is completed. Any required changes to core sales process have been implemented and documented.

 

First Twelve Months: You have delivered $3.75 million in booked revenue to Acceleration Partners from new clients and the upselling / cross-selling of existing clients during the first year. The churn rate of new clients is below 20%. The sales team in place is positioned to achieve 30% annual growth in each of the subsequent two years.
