Questions to Ask Before You Migrate

Not all migrations are equal. The difference between a clean transition and a program that takes a year to recover usually comes down to preparation. Here’s what we’d want any brand to be thinking through before committing to a migration plan.

Platform Setup

  • Has someone audited all existing tracking links for compatibility with the new platform?
  • Will your current attribution model and cookie window carry over as configured?
  • Are your existing commission tiers and bonus structures reproducible on the new platform?
  • How will in-flight transactions be handled during the cutover window?
  • Has someone tested creative assets for link integrity post-migration?

Partner Management

  • Which partners will be migrated, and which will be reviewed or removed?
  • Who is managing partner communication through the transition, and how many touchpoints are planned?
  • What is the plan for partners who do not re-accept terms on the new platform?
  • Is there a re-engagement plan for partners who go inactive during migration?
