At the start of Q4, Deloitte released their 2017 Holiday Survey. For the first time, more shoppers (55 percent) than last year said they’re heading online to shop for gifts. And not just any gifts. This year, survey respondents said they plan to spend more on experiences and celebrations than gifts that can be wrapped.
What’s more? Time is on retailers’ side this year as there’s an extra day between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. That means 32 days, compared with 31 last year, which gives consumers an extra day to shop.
