How long have you been with Acceleration Partners and what is your current role?
I have been with Acceleration Partners for 4.5 years now, starting on client services as an Account Manager and later transitioning over to the Publisher Development team, a centralized resource supporting the larger Acceleration Partners brand group.
How would you describe publisher development and its importance in affiliate marketing to your friends and family?
I describe us as a matchmaking service.
We help brands find partners that can help them reach new audiences, we help partners increase revenue streams or open up new revenue streams by facilitating brand relationships, and we help Acceleration Partners’ brand teams navigate the complex world of partner capabilities and to find the best partner mix for their accounts.
I would advise they read my blog that covers The Top 5 things to know about Publisher Development in Affiliate Marketing, as it’s a great resource to learn more.
You’ve been at Acceleration Partners for a little over four years, how has Acceleration Partners and the Publisher Development team changed over that time?
We have continued to develop, evolve and expand. We have experienced exponential growth and had so much fun doing so.
We are seeing access to customers though partners and alliances getting easier, and we’re seeing all types of partnerships open with supporting platforms and technology to support the rapid growth. A new era of growth is upon us and we are so excited.
What is one aspect of your job you really love?
The people. My fellow APers, partners and publishers. Our industry is full of passionate, talented and hardworking folks.
There are so many smart and savvy entrepreneurs out there, whether it’s getting to work with existing publishers who are introducing new capabilities and revolutionizing consumer shopping or finding new publishers to the space and educating them on how to tackle performance partnerships, it is all pretty special and super fun.
When you aren’t working, what could we find you doing?
In the winter, snowboarding! I put my 3-year-old and 4-year-old daughters on skis, and I can’t wait to tear up the slopes with them… when they improve… because boy do they have work to do.
In the summer, I’m exploring. I love to be outdoors, so I’m often kayaking, hiking and biking.
Who would you most like to swap places with for a day and why?
A videographer on Planet Earth so I could be up close and personal with crazy animal characters and watch and witness scenes like this in real life… make sure you stay tuned until 1m:02secs – it gets real! Run, iguana, runnnnnnnnnnn.
