Employee Spotlight: Laurie DeSimone


In this day and age, it’s rare for someone to work at one company for ten years or more, but the almost two-decades that Laurie DeSimone spent at Reebok gave her the experience and unique insights into brand marketing that makes her the ideal Key Account Director for our Acceleration Partners team.

While at Reebok, Laurie served in a variety of positions. Starting out as a Senior Sales Coordinator she quickly rose through the ranks to Senior Field Marketing Manager, Director of U.S. Trade Marketing, and finally to Reebok’s U.S. Director of Fitness and Channel Marketing.

In her most recent role, she led high-performing teams of over 20 employees and built, hired and trained field marketing teams. Her leadership established consistent story-telling across touchpoints closest to the US consumer: Wholesale, Owned Retail, Strategic Partnerships, field marketing, PR, Media, Brand Communications and Events.

While serving in these various roles, Laurie gained a reputation for being an exceptional leader who challenged her team to perform their best as well as someone who would support their success and ability to grow in their positions.

As a testament to this, Laurie was named Reebok’s Director of the Year in 2010. Her high level of customer dedication, team collaboration and commitment to brand growth and alignment fits well with Acceleration Partners’ focus on Principled Performance™.

Laurie was attracted to Acceleration Partners’ client portfolio of premium consumer brands and their ability to service several components of e-commerce marketing.  In her new role at AP, she’ll be able to focus on ensuring the success of our largest clients across multiple marketing channels through outstanding service, high-level strategic thinking, flawless tactical execution and collaborative business partnership.

It’s not easy to part ways with a company that you’ve called home for 18 years, but Laurie’s enthusiasm about joining our team is a reflection of AP’s company culture, portfolio of top consumer brands, customer loyalty and performance-driven team members.

When Laurie is not overseeing client accounts and strategizing with her team, you’ll find her running the roads of her town, spending time with her young family – or perhaps reading a good book. She’s also an avid traveler, having journeyed throughout the U.S., Hawaii and Europe and loves skiing in Colorado when the snow is too icy in New England.
