AP Volunteer Day: Coming Together in Chicago for Cradles to Crayons

“Volunteering is at the very core of being a human. No one has made it through life without someone else’s help.”  ~ Heather French Henry

On September 9th, AP team members in and around the Chicago area came together to volunteer for Cradles to Crayons, a national organization that provides children ages 0 – 12 with essentials for work, life and play, such as clothing, school supplies, toys and more – all free of charge.

While AP team members in Boston and Philadelphia will also be participating in a Cradles to Crayons volunteer day in the coming weeks and months, this one in Chicago was especially important; partnering with AP was Cradles to Crayons’ first corporate event and it was held at their newly opened Chicago location.

As the first AP group to volunteer in Chicago, our team members were excited to come together and do their part to help even more children in need.

Cradles to Crayons helps over 100,000 children each year and provides a unique, hands-on opportunity for people and organizations like AP to help.

On AP’s volunteer day, the Chicago-based team helped sort donated clothing that would be packaged up and provided to babies and children. Together, the Chicago team successfully impacted 102 children.

A special thanks to the Cradles to Crayons team for making our volunteer day so fun and rewarding.
