December is a crazy month in the e-commerce world and our team has been working hard to help our clients make the most of the holiday season. But that doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten about giving back. All across the country members of the AP team spent the holiday season volunteering and giving back to their communities.
Our Boston team spent a morning at Pine Street Inn, which provides a comprehensive range of services, including permanent supportive housing, job training and placement, emergency shelter, and street outreach to more than 1,600 homeless men and women each day.
AP employees spent the morning helping the staff prepare dinner for people staying at the shelter. Here you can see them busy chopping onions:
Members of our burgeoning Chicago office went to the Broadway Youth Center, an organization that helps homeless LGBTQ youth. Our team members put the skills they’ve learned at Acceleration Partners to good use and gave a presentation to the teens and young adults there about financial skills, including budgeting, saving, and making money online.
Meanwhile out on the West Coast, our San Francisco team members were busy making holiday cards for Meals on Wheels. The organization noticed that many senior citizens it delivers meals to spend the holidays alone. These holiday cards provide a little festivity and let them know people care.
